May our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word. 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17
Why do we believe more in luck than in God? Count
your blessings. Your birth and life is not luck…it’s a gift from God. The air you breathe…The water you drink.… Your heart beating.… Your brain that controls
your motor skills & helps you learn…it’s a gift from God. Gravity is not luck…it’s part of God’s plan. The beauty of the world that surrounds you each day… When the sun shines...When it rains….The moon & stars that light the dark sky is not luck…it’s a gift from God. When you experience love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self control it’s not luck…it’s a gift from God. The food that grows for you to eat …When your wounds or sickness are healed…A good night’s sleep….Your talents and skills…are gifts from God. Forgiveness is not luck….it’s a gift from God. The Gift of a New and Eternal Life is not luck…it’s a gift from God that can only be received by faith in God’s Son, Jesus Christ. It’s God’s plan..but it's your choice to accept it or reject it. Life in Christ is more rewarding and lasting than any form of luck you buy or make. Christ will never die, fade, be stolen, nor be destroyed, leave you, and is not temporary. The things of this world can cloud your vision and lure you away from the things of God. It will leave you empty handed and unsatisfied…always wanting more. God’s gifts are what we truly need…like the air we breathe. We truly can’t live without Christ. Without God we have nothing and would not exist. Leave the lucky charm behind, breathe, and seek the everlasting Treasure-Christ.
For although they knew God, they neither glorified Him as God or gave thanks to Him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles. They exchanged the Truth for a lie, and worshipped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen. Romans 1:21-23 & 25
This is the verdict: Light has come into the world but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the Light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the Truth comes into the light, so that it
may be seen plainly that what he has done has been through God. John 3:19-21
I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for everyone—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all goodness and holiness. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be
saved and come to a knowledge of the Truth. For there is One God and One Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all men—the testimony given in its proper time. 1 Timothy 2:1-6
(Jesus said) The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with you all. 2 Thessalonians 3:16
