What is Love? Where does Love come from?
Dear friends, let us love one another, for LOVE comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because GOD IS LOVE. This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him. This is LOVE: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 1 John 4:7-11
And now I will show you the most excellent way.If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not LOVE, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not LOVE, I gain nothing.
LOVE is patient, LOVE is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. LOVE does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
LOVE NEVER FAILS. 1 Corinthians 13:1-8a
The world’s definition of love is a lot different than God’s. God’s love never devalues us nor uses us for evil purposes in any way. God’s love teaches us to turn away from sin that causes regret, shame, sadness, or confusion. God’s love cannot be bought and is not temporary—it is eternal. God’s love is not about sex, not about money, not about anything you can make, not about buying something, not about what you look like, not about how smart you are, not about a ritual,--God’s love is pure. God’s love brings us joy, hope, a new life, purpose, and victory by faith in His son, Jesus Christ. Your heart matters---God created you and knows every matter of your heart. God wants you to know Him as your Heavenly Father who loves you, and has great plans for you. Looking for Love? Accept the gift of God’s Love--it is available to you and all people…His Name is Jesus--the only Valentine that is TRUE LOVE. With Jesus, every day is Valentine’s Day---because with Him you have abundant LIFE and TRUE LOVE that lasts forever that only He can give. And now, Jesus says, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on to these two commandments.” Matthew 22:37-40
God Loves you! God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, so that you may know and have TRUE LOVE with you forever. Will you Love God with all your body, mind, soul, heart and live His way? Love is here!
