Let us keep our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning it’s shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Hebrews 12:2-3
Today many people are celebrating St. Patrick’s Day and celebrate it in different ways. Many people believe that St. Patrick was a missionary and consider him the first person to bring Christianity to Ireland. If the words missionary and Christianity are unfamiliar to you, you may look up the definitions. So today, with that in mind I will celebrate by: -Praying for Ireland and people all over the world. -Telling the Good News of Jesus Christ:
⭐️Acknowledge your need for a Savior and confess your sins to God For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 )Jesus said) “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5 ⭐️Accept The Gift of Jesus the Christ. For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know[a] my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.” John 14:6-7 If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Romans 10:9-10 ⭐️ Turn from your sinful ways and follow God’s way by faith in Jesus. “iIf we walk in The Light, as He is in The Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purified is from all sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and The Truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and juat and will purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:7-9 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I Am The Light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12 Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me. “All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:23-27 Prayer you can pray: Dear God, I acknowledge that I am a sinner and ask that you forgive me of my sins. I ask to receive your son, Jesus the Christ, as my one and only Lord and Savior. I believe Jesus was crucified on the cross to save all mankind from sin and death and He overcame sin & death and was resurrected on the 3rd day after His death. I believe Your way, by faith in Jesus Christ, is right and not mine. I surrender my life to you God, by faith in your Son, Jesus Christ. Please help me, through your Holy Spirit, to love your way (pure) and to live a life that is pleasing and honoring to you. May the Light of Jesus Christ shine in me as I love and trust in You, God, with all my heart. Thank you. Amen. ⭐️Rejoice- if you have accepted the gift of Jesus Christ as your one & only Lord and Savior! For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 If you are not sure you understand everything that’s ok. You have just taken the first step to your new life with God by faith in Jesus Christ. Only you and God know your heart. If your heart is sincere then God will give you His Holy Spirit to teach you and guide you. *Please note: This does not mean you will be perfect—nor will every day be easy, but if you believe in Jesus Christ and desire to live God’s ways, then you will seek to live a life as best you can to live God's holy way. 13 The Lord looketh from heaven; He beholdeth all the sons of men. 14 From the place of His habitation He looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth. 15 He fashioneth their hearts alike; He considereth all their works. 16 There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength. 17 An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength. 18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear Him, upon them that hope in His mercy; 19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. 20 Our soul waiteth for the Lord: He is our help and our shield. 21 For our heart shall rejoice in Him, because we have trusted in his holy name. 22 Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee. Psalm 33:12-22 (KJV) Sharing a favorite song and a scripture I like with you to begin the New Year. May you be encouraged and believe God truly loves you and has great plans for you and everyone. Praying that you truly hear the Word of Life (God’s son, Jesus the Christ), believe in Him, follow Him, and trust in Him to show you God’s way to abundant life. God’s blessing to all today & always. Happy New Year!
Song: Word of Life by Jeremy Camp Scripture: John 1:1-18 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. 6 There was a man sent from God whose name was John. 7 He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. 8 He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. 9 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. 14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. 15 John testifies concerning him. He cries out, saying, “This is the one I spoke about when I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because He was before me.’” 16 Out of His fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known. “Let every heart prepare Him room.”
Is there room in our heart and lives for Jesus the Christ? Or is it the same cry as before Jesus was born- “There is no room.”? 4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room available for them in the inn. Luke 2:4-7 This is currently my nativity scene. By now it usually has Jesus in the manger, Mary, Joseph, the Shepherd, the wisemen, and the animals in and around the stable. My family & I usually read a scripture as each figurine is placed. This year, this has been postponed for many reasons (many valid), but as I continue pass by this empty nativity scene it does cause me to pause and ponder the question is there room for Jesus in my heart & life even when I am busy? Let’s not take for granted the miracle and gift of the birth of our Savior because what a different world it would be without God’s love to us through Christ Jesus. ⭐️Take a moment today and spend time with God in prayer-prepare your heart for the reason for Christmas-Jesus the Christ, the Savior of the world-born for all people. 🎁If you have not received the gift of God, His Son Jesus the Christ, and would like to prepare your heart for Him may these scriptures guide you in receiving Him as your one and only Lord & Savior: ⭐️Acknowledge your need for a Savior and confess your sins to God For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
